What I want to know is whether there are higher frequency current pulses within or overlaid on top of the 50/60 Hz supply as a result of what the amp does.
Let's assume this is a Class B or AB1 amplifier so the amount of current drawn does vary. Does AC at higher frequencies than the mains get drawn or is the current greater but the frequency strictly limited to the mains supply frequency?

This is to resolve an argument with a friend who says no, the frequency of the ac supplied stays at the mains fundamental frequency. Nothing higher passes. I'm not sure that is right.
