just a few casual thoughts?1/ the chip alters the disc on a musical level rather than physical hence critical listening / measurement find no differences but casual listeners asked to comment easily hear the improvement. no doubt the effect is like a band hiring a new guitarist / the orchestra getting a new conductor
2/ the chip actually works but only when you are day dreaming
3/ people are getting really desperate to find any difference in the sound quality after using the chip
4/ critical listening allows real differences to be heard, casual listening allows one to relax, soak up the atmosphere and hear whatever you want
5/ followers of the church of the chip see and hear things not explainable by modern science. the church leaders retell these happenings to support their beliefs, asking for debate, when they are really just sermons to church followers. it appears that new converts are still being made but like new video formats most cults will wither and die after a few years, the leaders discredited but rich
being just casual thoughts none of the above might be the answer you are looking for but don't worry, if you keep looking you are bound to find salvation
