OK, you are talking about Ayre and I have all the time been referring to the subject of usb and audio.
So, the validity of what I said is about the subject, which some inmates have an interest in. Also, I would have thought that you would want to test the units from the competition.

The reason why I would not myself want SP3 in my audio PC is that it contains a vast no of security fixes, which increase windows size dramatically, and I would only install those fixes that are essential. So far, I have not done any. It would be good if your people can identify those fixes required for the QB9 and put them in an installation disk for those who wish to retain the small size of SP2. I actually run one audio PC on SP2 with a 8G SLC SSD, which would be very tight with SP3.
Your comment reinforces my original points, which are that negative posts about the need for proper hires, and the defensive stance about 96k being adaequtre, rather than posts about how to implement USB2 propely for audio, make life difficult for those who want to match resolutions achievable routinely with PCI audio.
Why? Vested interest?
