I agree.

I got the harmonic exciter as it was bundled with some other software that I was evaluating during a free trial period. I was curious to learn how to use it, and that means leaning the subjective aspects of various settings on a range of recordings. When I am done with this I am going to investigate how this might be a useful tool by scam recording labels when creating fake hi-res material starting with 44/16 digital masters. (No, I am not interested in creating fake hi-res, rather I want to be better able to detect them.)

BTW, the Aphex is not the worst device used to ruin recordings. The worst one I've heard so far is Auto Tune.
