RE: Gave Pi Core one more try

As I stated.

It took me 10 minutes to get everything working on a PI.
And, that's what your complaint was all about!!!

And. I also said you've been using a different and older version!

And then, you're mixing things up again!

The recommendation to run LMS on a PC is basically related
to better performance.
You should not load a PI with all kind of duties, even though it'd be possible.

Let's take PcP. PcP is a 100% RAM based system.
It's not using the SD-card during operation - just at boot and shutdown
to store the changes.

If u use LMS on PcP, the entire LMS incl. database will be loaded into RAM.
Easily 600MB of RAM can be occupied just by LMS.
If you then enable WLAN, USB DISCs, USB DACs, network controler asf. asf. that poor little thing won't have much air to breathe anymore. The chance is high that it even locks up.

What I'm saying:

You need some understanding to get going.
And don't run after every advise in forums like this.

Just move your butt over to places where the specialists are supporting you.
If you're not willing to do that, you better buy a Sonos or similar.

Enjoy.
