Are the improvements likely to be the same by soldering a higher value (mfd) capacitor to each of the 3.3v, 5v, and 12v outputs directly on the psu board?
They might even be better if they're soldered in the right place but, then again, they might not.
The benefit of the "add-ins" as described is that they seemed to work for most users and that they are cheap, cheerful and reversible (think mobo warranty).
As described in other posts, others, particularly "Greg from Mississippi", have taken the principle much further. Well worth a search.
