Probably we are talking about two different things: I believe you talk about cable resistance, yes, you are correct that wire resistance should be very low; Cable characteristic impedance is different from cable resistance. It is determined by cable capacitance and inductance.

In the old threads, Lew liked Goertz flat ribbon cables that have low
characteristic impedance 2-4 ohms.

Goertz flat ribbon cables are still commercially available.
