That's not a ramble, an excellent explanation of the problems and situations to work thru. I'm just glad you didn't throw up your hands and say "Impossible". Seems that a little more thinking, some good food, a glass of wine (it works for me) and you'd be well on your way to a solution. I have patience (really I do!). If you can work it out, you will and I will be very grateful. If not, then we will all learn something, and I'll still be grateful.
