I made 300Bs from scratch using the Parabee operating points and much of the original design. I also use a VPI turntable, the Scout.I've tried Adire Audio HE 10.1's and Klipsh Heresy I's (both on stands). I've been happy with both. The sound is not night-and-day different between the two, though there are differences. There are Adire reviews that say recessed midrange, but I don't get that. The Heresys seem a little more dynamic, but they have a treble peak around 6-8 kHz that I haven't been able to tame with the usual crossover tweaks as of yet, but I'm not done trying.
Of course, the Adires you have to build the boxes for yourself, but it's not a complicated box. The Heresy I's out there are getting pretty kicked up, so you have to do some woodworking to clean them up, if you care about that sort of thing.
I also tried the BH Straight 8s with these amps at a friend's house for two-hour demo, but they were not to my taste.
