Wayne,

If nothing else, you certainly are amusing. There are not many rooms that are anechoic down to 20Hz. It would take 4 meters of insulation on each wall and the ceiling and even then you wouldn't get complete absorption. Commercial woofer measurements ARE taken outdoors. If there is an exception to that statement, I'd be very surprised. If you've got a signal to noise ratio of 30dB (eg. 80dBSPL signal, 50dBSPL noise floor), the advantage of lowering the noise floor further (for example by moving into an anechoic room) in terms of measurement accuracy from MLS is on the order of .0001dB--I think outdoors is good enough.

I'm curious Wayne, if you never measure, how do you manufacture phase data? How do you find the acoustic centers of your drivers? It's bad enough that you sell speakers you've never measured, but when you say measurement is worthless, it's just plain idiocy.

John
