Earl Geddes is more of a mad scientist than a businessman. He seems to be concerned with deviations of <0.001" from his "perfect" throat curve, for example, which is silly but typical audio nut behavior. Out of his obsessions may come useful improvements for us more practical types.
That said, it is poor manners to poke fun at Mr. Geddes, even if he has a habit of slagging off anyone who does not adhere to his vision of the "perfect path."
