Corner loading doesn't help a dipole much in the bass region, and can actually work against it as the out-of-phase backwave is getting the lion's share of the corner reinforcement. On the other hand, bass traps in the corners behind the speakers can increase the bass at the listening position, though in my experience you need a lot of bass traps (like floor-to-ceiling) before it makes a significant difference.
