Happy New Year!Right, if we assume that Altec's 500 Hz/2nd order protection is 'good enough' for the 511 in HIFI apps (some dispute this), then with a 1st order XO it ideally needs to be at least -24 dB/125 Hz, or 2 kHz.
Thanks, I thought I'd already mentioned this to him, but didn't find it in a quick search. SoS = speed of sound, which varies with temperature/pressure and why you'll see different values used depending on the author's POV.
