hey all,Yeah, the PCM master was included into the project file sent to the manufacturer straight from authoring. You're absolutely right Plush, it's the same 'ol PCM 16 bit file, but it does sound slightly different. Better, actually. I don't claim to know how, but I can tell you I lived with the 16 bit version I created myself as well as the mastering ref for quite some time and immediatly heard the difference from the redbook layer on the SACD disc. I'm not complaining; I LOVE it! I feel better about having non-SACD folks playing the redbook layer on their home and car systems. Anyone who's in my position of taking a project to manufacture has got to give this format a try. The cost was justified and quite reasonable, much to my surprise.
