I bought this on vinyl when it was first released and loved it. It was a great Miles Davis recording and received a lot of playing time on my system. I later bought it again on CD and it seemed to lose something in the translation (thinner sound). When I saw it available on SACD I jumped on it in hopes of bringing back that original vinyl sound. Well, I don't know what went wrong, maybe the original tape has deteriated, but it's a real disappointment. Just thinking about it tempts me to resurect my vinyl playing apparatus, but without a phono input on my current equipement I'll have to pass for now.
