Piece of crap analogies, John. No offense.

If I had a dime for each time some half cocked (likely literally) "designer" went to market with the faux defense, "They all laughed at Edison, and he was proven right. They all laugh at me, I am therefore like Edison," I'd have alot of dimes.

To complete your analogy....

Go Google Franz Joseph Gall.

Sometimes, dipshit ideas are just that.

There are more ideas that have been left in history's dust bin than have turned out to have lasting value.

So, let's see if we can find common ground:

John, have you encountered tweaks that turned out to be worthless, ineffective, or built on lies or illusions?

One of the great lands left for audio exploration are the tweak realms. It seems there are those who hear everything, and those who hear nothing, and the territory in between is devoid of occupants.

Perhaps when "prominent industry folks" step up and more openly admit to encountering tweaks that they don't find to have an effect, we can make some progress on the issue.

The "everything I've ever tried made a difference" crowd is as useless as the "nothing I've ever tried made a difference" group.
