No one has ever doubted that polarity is audible when using test tones. Just in case you didn't notice, the discussion has moved a step forward.
You say that having read Schroeder's "Models of hearing" it is "virtually impossible to believe that somehow or some way people can not hear phase differences in many situations, and most likely absolute polarity as well."
You see, now it has become "most likely". Schroeder doesn't mention polarity at all.
Re: ignore it and remain in ignorance: show us the research that clearly deomstrates that polarity inversion is audible with real music, that would help us ignorants a lot.
