Hey Doc. Thanks for the reply during your off week.I agree no drinking too close to bed. Timing is critical in the pacing and stopping and "passing out." I'm impressed you quit caffeine. I don't partake too much, but I sure do love a cup first thing on a cold morning. As to the fitness, it is critical for quality of life. I find that exercise makes all things better - especially the audio system. If the lungs, heart, and brain are firing on all cylinders - triodes are triple magic. Have you ever listened just after long, hard exercise when your endorphins are still screaming? Absolutely killer. I'm a mountain biking junkie and love the car ride home after a great ride. I pick a choice long improvisational tune, crank up the car audio full ranges, and grin from ear to ear.
[now back to audio] If I just use half the tube, do I leave all of the other half connections open? The Paramour is 6.3 times two, correct? What would you do if it was 12.6 series?
V2 - Thanks for the reply. I didn't realize that the transformer was so close to spec. I think i should be ok with 5mA. The schematic, I believe, sets stock at 4.5mA.
Have a great Friday afternoon, all.
Jeffrey
