Nico, congratulations! I really like the sapele. Mitch does nice stuff. I'm waiting for Brian to let me know when the shipment comes in so I can start mine. Our shops are capable of work of that quality, so if anyone needs cabs built, I'm another source. While audio is a hobby, wood is a life-long love affair. I do have a couple of questions, Peter, or anyone, help me out here. First off, why mitres? Butt joints and tounge-in-groove are both stronger. I assume it's a sonic reason, but I'd like to know. Second, has anyone done cabs out of tonewoods? Would a solid cabinet be better? Peter, have you done other construction methods? Khaki8 & I have had some discussions about other methods, maybe I'll just have to build two sets of boxes and try it out. I've got enough pre-ban Brazilian rosewood to do it, but I hate to use it unless there is a good indication that it will be better. Does altering the bracing shape affect the sound as it does in a guitar? I've built a couple and found that scalloped bracing works the best, but we are talking about a different animal.

I keep procrastinating putting my Supratek Syrah up for sale, which is how I'm financing the kit 3's. After seeing yours Nico, I'm going to get off my ass and put it up for sale this weekend.

Brian, when are you getting the kits?
