ODL HT-2 is not "similar","predecessor", nor the "same thing" as/of the Odyssey Stratos. Not even close! Do not make a big mistake comparing the two! Go to Audiocircle.com, and Odyssey has a website and discussion forum there. Ask the same question that you have, and then be enlightened with the answes that you will get.

Save your money my friend! Try to investigate before buying the ODL. The real Stratos is about $1100 with caps upgrade, and 20 year warranty. How can a $595 ODL be the same? Also, ask the seller for the warranty of the ODL, I bet you there is none.
