The explanation of its circuitry is in there somewhere. Much more eloquently written though. I know, not all that hard to do.
I was at a Stereophile show when Mark Levinson himself put the demo of the audio Pallette as they were then releasing it. Mark played two cuts to show what the device could do. One with change necessary in the bass, the other cut needed a tweak in the treble. In both cases but a Db or 2 change was made, and both improved the sound substantially. There were six of us in the room. When Mark introduced himself one of the people asked if he was the Mark Levinson. He replied that he was. In the magazine a month or so later the exchange was noted in Stereophile.
