I left out 3 pairs of Vampire CMHex, PEC KKA Pot, and Tocos toggle switch, all taken from old projects and that I had in the used parts drawers.
If I had built it, not on a whim but because of an audition, I might have crafted a furniture grade chassis, used an 1/8" top plate, TubeCad LV power supply, Ohmite Gold and other boutique resistors, Mundorf EVO S/G/O Caps, and a Goldpoint Attenuator.
But then it'd be closer to $1000, take 100 hours and not just be a fun pastime. Then I might not be as pleased with the outcome considering it would be nearly the same investment (not counting tubes) as my 76 line stage with which, while the B1 sounds great for the money, it really can't compete.
