For the last year I've been thinking I need to find a competent hi fi technician to service my Rega Mira. The source select and volume pots have both been giving me headaches. Just tried quickly turning both knobs 50 times and it now sounds great and noise-free. Thanks!

Also, my Rega Planet has been giving me headaches with a squealing bearing. One hi fi shop said that this isn't a fixable problem. I just gave it a few good manual spins and wiggles and the squealing is gone!
