Transistor amps have a preferred operating temperature but I have never come across an amp taking more than about 30 minutes to get there although it might take an hour if the amp has very generous heat sinks.
The difference between hot and cold amp are fairly subtle and our aural memory famously short so any perceived difference between last night and today is likely to be just that: perceived.
Although the changes are audible between first switch on and half an hour later.
Ps: My amps are fan-cooled so it is quite possible that they warm up quicker than passively cooled ones.
