I'd edit the post if I could -- the usual "edit" tab seems not to be present for reviews. As for the other major difference you cited, I want to ask you a follow-up: do you mean to suggest that you've disconnected your MAP-1 from the power, while it was connected to the amp (and the amp to the speakers) and not heard a bang? If so, mine may need to be serviced.
