What about the A5 was not completely to your liking? I've been considering either the A5 integrated or A5 power amp. I have an A3CR power amp and like it except it does not have enough power for my speakers. Actually, I have two and they are bi-amped and still not enough, particularly in the bass.
My take is that the A3 is transparent, neutral, perhaps a bit harmonically threadbare compared to tubes. That said, I think some tube amps are a bit too harmonically rich.
