Hi,Sorry, I can't relate to the upgrade improvements as I have the LFT8a's, but from the upgrade description on the ET website, it sounds like it is worth the $200. Improved bass, smoother mids and enhanced treble output. And if you don't have 'em already, get a pair of Sound Anchor stands for your LFTs.
