RE: Kudos for the Quad ESL

It's wonderful with some performance aspects way ahead of its time but it can't be the number one speaker because it's a niche product. It didn't lead the way to a new direction for speakers. The 'conventional' dynamic speaker is still by far the dominant speaker and probably the best value for performance, at least in its reasonably priced form. And there is a great argument that the best speakers with the best combination of performance attributes today are the ultimate dynamic speakers.

Just to throw another stone in the lake, I totally disagree with number 15, double Advents. I tested them 50 years ago and single Advents are superior so how could doubles be number 15. Harry was wrong. By the way single Advents were a hell of a speaker for the dollar although the Dynaco A25 gives it a hell of a run.
