I am sending my backplates back to bypass the HF potentiometers with 75W Ohmite resistors since I rarely use them. I thought of doing it myself but decided better. Those who have report improved transparency.
After nearly twenty years, one of the midrange controls needs repair. Every so often, one speaker will suddenly get louder until I rotate that control back and forth.
