Home Planar Speaker Asylum

I really lucked out with that room :)

It has nearly Golden Ratio or Fibonacci sequence dimensions (25'+ x 16') for minimal modes and is goodly sized. Various room treatments also help.

What I like most is that the soundfield changes little regardless of where you are. Sitting. Standing. Up close. At distance. In front of speakers. Behind them. There is a bit more bass, however, near rear of the room on dormer side with its added length.

A couple of years ago, I made a phone video of the system. While it has understandable limitations, it still conveys the homogenous nature of which I speak. Note the consistency of the sound as I walk around the room with the phone capturing both audio and video. I've since returned a small couch, added diffusion and moved the smaller traps about.
