The SMSL is a very good DAC, and your open-source streamer is a very good solution. I wonder, though, if your amplifier can supply enough current to really get the most from your LRS planar speakers. If it were me, I would use something like a pair of Hypex N400 mono amps, or, if money were a concern, a good used amp that has been looked after.
