The small iFixit kits are great for those kind of situations, containing assorted bits.
Some real nice double ball end allen keys are also available. They are not completely flat, but are long and don't have an overly large "L" shape. The "ball" ends also give you some angle play. Meaning they don't have to be perfectly parallel in use.
Whatever you get, buy a good quality one for best fit and hardness grade. Otherwise both the tool and the hex screw usually end up getting damaged. Then becomes a real pain.
