RE: Sunfire vs. McIntosh Amp for Magnepan 3.6

The sunfire cannot bridge but can bi-amp. It would supply 2 810 W amplifiers per speaker at 4 ohms. One to the tweeter section and one to the woofer section. So while this is technically not 1620 W, it is two 810 Watt amps driving the speaker as bi-amped. Still, its a lot of power. And I think the McIntosh might still sound better.
