I love my JD-1000RC. I have MMGs and they are wonderful together. The EL34 has such an amazing midrange you might want to try some of them. The stock chinese tubes aren't as bad as everyone says (but there is definitely room for improvement). I like a little more analytical top end and called Jolida for some suggestions. They recommended trying EH EL34s, more detail on the highs, but no loss in that sweet midrange. Tubes and Maggies - a marriage made in heaven!
