That phrase reminds me of an interesting interview which Aaron Mate just recently had with Douglas Macgregor, a retired US Army Colonel and former Pentagon senior advisor, who served briefly in the Trump administration. Among many other things (e.g., the US Russia in Ukraine, etc.), Macgregor touches upon the problems of that administration as well as how Trump's adulation and veneration of "the generals" got him into trouble.
