What's the advantage of use a 3 Wires instead of a twisted pair?
I'm talking about an unbalanced cable of course.

There is much conversation about Signal (hot) ground and shield as the three

I am not a big fan of this in an unbalanced setup,

but some swear by it...
Happy Listening

It's a very good geometry for rca cables, a braided cable (like Kimber) with three conductors; two for the Ground and one for the Signal. I tried with two conductors on the Signal, but the first option is better. No shield, no drain wire. I use a similar cable with OCC Neotech 21 awg copper on my Pioneer PD-D9 MKII sacd player with Furutech rca connectors. Very lively but smooth sound signature. If You desire more 'meat' to the sound, better use 20 awg conductors.
