It does say AMAZON EXCLUSIVE VERSION, so maybe it is a different pressing.
Follow Ups:
But according to Discogs, the LP is a Columbia release and all other copies--black vinyl and clear vinyl--were mastered by GZMedia. Some were pressed in Europe and some in the US.
It doesn't matter if it's an Amazon exclusive, Sony/BMG is responsible for the mastering/pressing/distribution chain, and it's highly unlikely Sony would spend extra money to press LPs of lower quality because "it's for Amazon."
The blissful counterstroke-a considerable new message.
I thought you answered the question earlier. Of course Sony isn't going to spend extra money for inferior pressings. But it's possible that this exclusive release for Amazon for this record was pressed by Memphis, not GZ and that the higher price lps from Acoustic Sounds and Music Direct were pressed by GZ. A way to tell might be to buy those and compare. Given the large difference in price, I'll bet that's the case.
