I highly recommend this Canadian double record set from 1975. Plenty of "destruction" by Don Thompson at the piano... And to hear the late guitar legend Ed Bickert kinda let loose like you may have never heard him before - well I hadn't...
Great nightclub recording, and cut by Bernie Grundman doesn't hurt either...
Follow Ups:
My then-fiance' now-wife of 52 years spent many a happy evening there in our UoT student days
She sure must have! I would kill to have a second chance at reliving this scene (both Toronto and Montreal) from this specific era more fully than I did and could - was slightly on the fence age-wise back then...
Do you know where I might purchase this LP?
I dream of an America where a chicken can cross the road without having it's motives questioned.
There is one copy presently on ebay from an American seller named alljazzrecordsbymail, at $16 + ship. No idea if he/she's a good one...
If I understand correctly this album was mastered in the USA by Bernie Grundman but was pressed only in Canada. Unless you're on a free budget, shipping from Canada might well be on the prohibitive side...
