It's funny you should mention that. Based on the strength of that article, I accumulated a couple of those over the years. But I never listened to them! Something about having a game console and controller connected to the hifi just was not appealing. I need to drag one of them out and try it.

  I don't know that I have one of those...
  
  It still seems like it would look sort of Early Fisher Price in styling. Nobody would notice but me, though.

    I remain disgusted with the fact of Audio Research making a
    
    cd player that has
    reliability problems {CD3} whilst the Sony top loader blows Audio Research out of the water for reliability. I like and use Audio Research equipment but the fact remains.

      I guess that's the commonality with Fisher Price. Things designed to last through lots of abuse at the hands of children. I imagine Sony knew their audience. It's a miracle that it also has audiophile application!
