Take the time & effort to get some good 6l6gc for your amp. The 6BG6 sberger speaks of were very late production Sylvania and my experience was meh. I got them to use in an amp I built myself and the initial glow soon wore off especially after I tried SED winged C 6l6GC in it. They are different than the current Svetlana winged C tubes. KT66 are another option, try Jim McShane to see if he has stock. I'm thinking anything in tubes is going to be iffy or expensive these days.

To be clear, I just referred to the company that the OP is getting his information from. I'm not in any way endorsing using those or anything other then 6L6GC's or 7027A's in a MC240.
