I'm definitely not a tech just a hobbyist, but it has certainty baffled me.. -lol
Here is a link to the schematic, it's the one everyone uses from the HH Scott site. I want to say I used this same schematic on the last 130 I had..

Follow Ups:
I have one and a 121 sitting on a shelf waiting. It's intended purpose was to be mated to the LK150 I have. It is not restored beyond a good cleaning and quite frankly since life got in the way sitting on the back burner.
When I got it I was not enthralled as I wasn't hearing what others had reported but probably from updated, restored or modified pieces. Following threads from 12 to 20 years ago I wasn't alone. Here is a search of the old Vintage Asylum. I think you'll find much to consider.
It sucks to get old. It really sucks to get old and bitter.
Mikey,
the one I restored sounded pretty good, lots of meat on the bottom end, but like I said, it hissed at idle and so does this one. I could just finish cleaning it up and re- sell as it all works, and then look for something else to mate with the MC 60's after I finish them, as this was the intention. Albeit this was just a just a shot in the dark - low risk just try it and see. I guess I got my answer, but it is baffling..
thanks!
