Paul McGowan of PS Audio recommends getting speaker cables off the floor
and I respect his opinion. The rebar chairs are an excellent, inexpensive

There's your first problem.
Just watch a couple of his Q&A videos and it will become apparent. Many times, his responses have absolutely nothing to do with the question asked.

    First, be more specific. We are talking about elevated speaker cables. Your response is way too broad.
    
    Now do some math. Considering the sub ohm impedance of a modern class B power amplifier, just how much capacitance is being induced by the floor covering? When you arrive at that number, what is the significance on the audio signal being analyzed (listened to)?
