Sorta like ferrite (done that!) in that it cleans up the highs but with better tonality and seemly enhanced dynamics. Sorry for the old chestnut, but there were musical details never heard before that surfaced. How, I don't know but guess that background noise that one is not aware of/can't hear is reduced. That or somehow the music is enhanced. This is the equal to a couple good aftermarket power cords so definitely 'under the hood' stuff.
Also nothing wrong with something looking good, like your vette example, if that's what you want, but you know it won't go any faster. The last few years I've been using Zaino Bros. on the car and even on my carbon fiber bicycle. Helluva shine, almost looks wet, and good protection while sweating & pedaling up the hills.

I took it as more conciliatory than your first and thought it deserved a less knee-jerk reaction. That's why I replied even after you removed your post because you deserved better. No harm done either way, I hope.
I agree with you, when something like tape hiss disappears from an old recording, one has to think drastic frequency response change or not.
What I've noticed from applying crystals and, more recently, the battery ground tweak is more processing effects and increased studio sound, even from TV - particularly local news broadcasts. Some of those newsrooms sound small where I was hardly getting any info at all before. So, at least in this case, more info is being received by my fuzzy ears than before - a plus - and it sounds less mechanical, more real. But you can see what I'm dealing with electrically in a separate post below.

Every car I've ever owned has gone faster after a wash / wax and oil change.
No question about it.
Cleaning the interior makes the sound system sound better, too, but in the old days that was probably because of the mountain of fast food wrappers blocked the in-door speakers.
Too much is never enough
Bought some tea bags and filled them with a mixture of amethyst, tanzanite, almost clear and yellow crystal with a little bit of rose crystal. Put them all over interconnects (both ends), power cables (both ends) and both ends of the speaker cables. One after another while a bat-eared friend who was helping me set my cartridge listened. No change, no difference. I dont dispute that crystals make a difference but not with my system and power source.

and good point, Jack D II. I think I live in AC hell, a 12-plex apartment bldg so I get everybody's electrical backwash plus the 48 fluorescent bulbs on the property AND living within 1-1/2 blocks from 1) a hospital, 2) a nursing home, 3) a high school on top of one of the highest points in the city just to maximize my RF reception. So really, YMMV.
But, then, have you tried them? Didn't think so...

It's kind of like when you have a ring in your bathtub but can't see it. Sometime it helps to have an objective outside viewer point out something that's obvious to everyone except the owner of the bathtub. The ideal observer would be someone who never bathes.

I have been tweaking with crystals for over a year, sometimes 16 hours per day. I made a blind test and scored 99.9% in a multiple choice test, and this was when comparing different crystal formulas. I can hear a difference to 1/100th of the gram, the differences are so big.
Comparing crystals vs no crystals is huge, go to a rock store and buy quartz and you will find out. When using pure quartz the music is bleached and it sounds worse, but it's easy to hear a difference. To get neutrality you need to blend multiple materials together and it all gets very complex. Remember to always use a digital scale and write everything down in log files.
Perhaps you've never heard of the Nocebo Effect. Let me enlighten you.You are imagining all of this--good and bad. Some people choose to be happy with their discoveries and others choose to be miserable. So what?
For the price of a cup of coffee, some folks applied crystals, smiled, were delighted with what they heard and were happy. Others read what was happening and shouted "No! This couldn't work!" and were scornful and miserable. You might be dead tomorrow. Do you want to enjoy yourself on Earth before you go, or do you want a grouchy, curled-lip of a life? Or perhaps you imagine a Catholic Heaven where a scolding St. Peter says: "You were right--those fools deluded themselves! How dare they be happy--take comfort in your righteousness!"
You will never get a definitive answer to this experiment on Earth, and I'm fairly certain the angels could give a shit. So it's up to you: choose to like it and you will enjoy yourself. Choose to hate it and you will feel the appropriate suffering, but don't bandy half-understood pseudo-psychology about as an explanation: you're making your own reality here (and setting your own blood pressure).

I wonder if placing a crystal(s) in my ears will improve my hearing! Especially my left ear, as I have slightly more hearing loss in that ear.
