Space will not allow this. However, I did place small rubber O-rings between the screws and bolts, but that did not seem to make a difference.
I may be able to wedge some sorbothane or rubber fotters between the chassis and transformer. What about heat from the transformer? Will it melt the sorbothane or rubber?

I don't think heat from the transformer would melt any Sorbothane "footers". (But then I've never had a power transfomer get even warm - let alone "hot" ... maybe your amp is different?? :-)) )
The other thing you might try is stick some "Cascade" on the underside of the lid and any other vacant areas of case wall, to damp their vibrations.

Andy.
"Cascade" ??? What's that???
Sorry for the ignorance.
a damping material which consists of a thin layer of a bytyl rubber compound with an aluminium skin on top. The butyl attaches to the metal of the case abd the result is a constrained layer damping arrangement.
Beloved by the car audio people - Dynamat is another product which is similar (although I personally prefer Cascade).
Regards,
Andy
Just picked up some left over 'Roadkill' damping sheets from the local Car Stereo Installer. I will install it tonight and see/hear.
