according to Ted.
The PW has never been very good in my system... even before the Ayre equipment. I don't think it did the old Carver stuff any favors, but it had surge protection on top of the filtration so I kept it.
The Ayre PC is too expensive for me at the moment and by time I replaced the PC and outlets on the wedge I could just buy something new and better. I had my eye on the QLS because of the price and I've also heard reports of it out performing more expensive conditioners like the Hydra.
Follow Ups:
The QLS 6 and 9 were primarily designed to accomodate multiple MPC's in a full SR cable system lashup.
I have heard reports of the SR Tesla outlet outperforming Oyaide, Furutech and other outlets. Since these are included in the QLS power strips, it just might outperform more expensive conditioners.
I do have an SR Tesla outlet but just haven't had time to do a shootout with my Oyaide outlets.
Cheers
The Telsa AC Outlet are just superb. I never felt the bass hit me in the chest till the Telsa's. Stage width and height outstanding. High's pure and open with no hype or forwardness.
I still don't get how they did it, but I sold all my Oyaide and I never thought I would but the Telsa's are in another plane. I can see why their conditioner as gotten such great reviews they use these outlets.
