I have been very impressed with the Quartz Resonators from Acoustic Revive and know they are somehow related.
Follow Ups:
They are separate companies but share some technologies.
They all use PCOCC copper from Furukawa Electric.
Acoustic Revive uses both Oyaide and Furutech connectors with its cables.
Pardon my ignorance, but what is "PCOCC Copper", and what are it's virtues over other copper alloys for audio use ?
try the ground conditioner. I have two in my system and am going for a third. Then I'm game to try the power cord.
I use a Granite Audio ground unit where all chasses are connected. I want to try connecting the ground conditioner to it. But as I understand it, this unit is intended to be connected to the circuit ground not the chassis ground.
After experiencing this unit at T.H.E. SHOW, I would bet that it is shunting the ground from the gear, to the materials inside the "stethoscope". Removing a potential signal ground loop from circulating to the rest of the system is a good thing, presuming that is what is happening. Again, just my guess.

........R U talking about this unit?
How exactly does it connect to ones system and if one has balanced power, and all the componenets are grounded to the balanced power supply, how would one implement the unit?
Sure looks interesting...what R your impressions of it?
Cheers,
~kenster
Yes, this is what I am talking about. It's a pretty simple implementation. You either use the spade to connect it to a components ground post or to a screw that makes a bare metal connection to the chassis. In lieu of those two options being available, you can also use the RCA adpater to plug the unit into an available input or output (it won't short the gear) RCA jack. This is how I use it on my transport and DAC. It is recommended to be placed under the chassis near the area where the transformers are located. However, it you can also experiment for best placement.
I'm not that savvy as to how it works, but the idea is that electrical current potential and electric field from your equipment travels through the attached cable and to inside of the RGC-24, which is made up of blended ore. In some ways it reminds me of the VPI brick. Now since you have a pretty good ground scheme with your balanced power set-up, the results may not be as obvious to you, although the manufacturer claims that there will still be an improvement. I don't have dedicated lines or a star grounding scheme. In general the power where I live is not the best either (one of these days I'll try a power regenerator). However, in my system as a result of using the ground conditioner the noise floor dropped and the benefit was heard immediately.
Very impressive on my integrated.

Connoisseur, along with almost all the rest of the main system, is long gone. It's gone to a good owner, though, and he's really happy with it.

Hi Matt:
No, I only have one attached to the integrated. Personally, I didn't notice any significant advantages plugging both into the amp. The second one I'm using with my headphone amp.
How much are those puppies? Thanks in advance!

The Quartz Resonators certainly look viable but it sure smacks of the Golden Sound Acoustic Discs but with a different material.
Hhhhmmmm............how does Golden Sound fit in with these 3?
Cheers
I have no idea where the ideas for this came from.
Sekiguchi Machine Sales Co., Ltd.
Hi Racerguy,
You've got the right name, but Sekiguchi Machine Sales Co. Ltd. would be the main company name for Acoustic Revive. Ken Ishiguro, the chief designer of Acoustic Revive, is an engineer trained in the design of machinery for industry, and designed concrete block machines and switchboards before creating his first audio product - the R-1 Disc Demagnetizer. Oyaide is a completely separate company and began life as a supplier of electrical wires. Over the years their customers began asking for wires that would be appropriate for Hi Fi systems. When Satoru Murayama took office as President of the company in 2000, Oyaide began the development of audio cables and accessories in earnest.
Acoustic Revive, like many companies here and abroad, uses Oyaide connectors and receptacles in their own products. This could be the cause of the confusion.
Thanks,

just kidding!
Where have you used these discs??? the description at the Cable Company site is a bit weird.
Although they look like small button with no button holes, they can have great impact in some places, and they can greatly harm your sound. In other places they do nothing. Furthermore the instructions on their webpage and in the boxes, give a poor indication about where they will work. For example I found no benefits on my Stealth Dream power cords, on speaker face plates, on interconnect RCAs, or on the back panel of components near input or output connections. I found great harms from them on the input board within my H-Cat. I have found a slight improvement with one on various transformers. On my WE300B tube bakelite base, the impact was staggering. And on the modules within my H-Cat line and phono stages, the impact was just unbelievable when correctly placed.
I doubt that these are really vibration resonators as their name implies, but whatever they do can be totally awesome.

I am able to do the same thing using Shakti On Lines. If placed on top of a component the On Line can re-tune the vibrational harmonic to Shakti's pre-tuned frequency. I have also had the same luck using them on isolation stands to alter the resonate frequency. As you can imagine this doesn't work for everything, but components that are motor driven respond very well. E-type transformers respond well, and the back of a/c outlets....this is an excellent place treat.
Alan
I also really doubt that the QRs are even resonators. I am not certain given the AR webpage that they even know what they have here.
