Advice on protection for amps

I currently plug my Nuforce Ref 9SE monoblocks directly into Oyaide wall outlets, which provides the best sound. Filtered power conditioners and/or inferior receptacles take something away from the dynamics and transparency.

Is there a power distribution solution that uses high quality receptacles (or capability to install your own) while providing protection from power surges/outtages? I would hate to lose my amps during an electrical storm. Budget for something like this is no more than $500, preferrably less.
