I had one go out. It was in for many years. Luckily I got a response from NAT and they said to use OA2. I ordered 10 of them from fleebay for 80 bucks.

In that case, I would expect the new 0A2 to also last a long time. Sounds like you have plenty of spares now. :) Out of curiosity, what was the failure mode? Did it stop striking?
The right channel sounded like a 1960's horror film laboratory when I powered up the pre amp. Then is started buzzing.
That sounds as though the tube might have been arcing internally. I've seen them do that, although it's not too common. Glad it's all good now. :)
