Wow, thank you for letting me know. What an incredibly insightful and helpful comment! Hopefully one day I will be able to know as much about high fidelity as you do. In the meantime, I am in absolute awe of your brilliance.

I'm at a loss, but this happens all the time on the Asylum. I've even seen people replying to their own comments. Using something other than the Classic View, perhaps?

But i admit that the forum software easily confuses me also.
It seems most of the time this happens, posters are using the eThreads view. Try the Classic view, by clicking where the arrow is indicating, and see if you like that any better.As I mentioned, I saw a post on the Vinyl Asylum just this morning, where someone is replying to themselves, instead of to the person they intended to. Not only does this cause confusion for other readers, but also can result in unnecessary umbrage, as I suspect was the case with you believing Mr. Blue Sky's reply was meant for you.

I have 'eThreads" active and see the posts in correct order.
'classic' is not in my taste, it's rather confusing (to mee)
But as the screen shot in my first post to you shows, Mr. Blue Sky's reply was directly under, and meant as a reply to Timbo In Oz, not you.
I hoped using another view might help avoid misdirected "hurt feelings" in the future, but whatever works best for you.

I guess best thing to do is review your post. Edit or delete if necessary. I've done it many times.
Or did you mean the person who misinterprets, and believes that a post meant for someone else is meant for them should edit theirs? The difficulty with that is that unless someone points out to them that the "offending" post wasn't directed at them, they're going to continue to assume it was, and perhaps steer clear the Asylum unnecessarily.
I was hoping to help an Inmate avoid future confusion (and possibly unnecessary anger), long term, by suggesting they try the Asylum's Classic view. In the mind of many long-term Asylum users, the Classic view is easier to navigate.
I've seen this confusion a lot lately, in fact it happened on your Belden 8402 post on DIY tube Asylum (link below) where DAC says to you, "Too many acronyms!", when he should have posted his reply to Tre', and you had to ask him what he was talking about. I'd bet you $50 that DAC is using something other than Classic view to navigate the Asylum.

Yeah, not sure what happened.I meant try to review one's post after entering it. Then, edit or delete it, if for whatever reason it didn't go to where it was intended.

The only reason I stuck my nose in was that tubular.well seemed to believe Mr Blue Sky's push-back was directed at him, when it wasn't. He (or she) wouldln't know to edit their post, since they would have no way of knowing they should, especially when all they're using is the date of a reply as a reference, as tubular.well is.
I see people talking to themselves (i.e. replying to their own posts), instead of to other Inmates replies all the time, or as DAK did to you instead of to Tre', and never point it out to them. I did here, because there was some perceived hostility or ingratitude which wasn't directed where tubular.well thought it was.

Looking at the dates in the post it certainly IS in date/time order.
The subject of the thread was a discussion if some tubes could reduce
treble, that is what we discussed. This is what me skye replied on.
Discussing the pope's beard is in another thread in another fora.
The date and time have nothing to do with who the reply is intended for.
As the screenshot I previously posted (shown above) showed (now highlighted with red arrow), Mr. Blue Sky's reply subject line reads: RE: maate, you aren't interested in fidelity, at all which means it is in reply to Timbo in Oz's post. Additionally, it is directly under Timbo's post, which means the same thing...The reply was intended for Timbo.
My whole intent, once again, was to point out that he was not being rude to you, or even commenting on your post. But I'm done trying to clarify that.
