If the TT1 and the TT1a are use the same settings, this should help.

Thanks Tre'. It appears to match the roll that came with the tester. Is this considered a good tester? Was that a good price?

It's a good tester. Schlumberer bought two companies: Weston and Heathkit. The TT1 is basically a Weston 981 Type 3 with much cheaper parts and with some upgrades to test modern tubes like compactron. They go for much higher than you paid. Ray

I used to be interested in tube testers until I aquired enough bad ones to satisfy my urge to spend money. Heathkit was consider to be a good Marque when using earlier Hikock as the design and parts source. This model appears to be a later model with some similiarities in the top plate. If it does indicate Hikock on it, then it is a very good model indeed. If it does not but is still working as intended you have still quite a bargain. Good Heathkit tube testers run 2 or many times the price you paid. Be thankful you have a functioning tube tester. I cannot tell you how many bad ones are routinely sold.
